About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide home health care. The role is full-time, day shift, with paid training and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. After training is complete, compensation is paid per visit. The listed hourly pay range is $26.00 to $30.00. The position includes mileage reimbursement and may offer participation in the fleet vehicle program, subject to restrictions.

Requirements

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license specific to the state(s) assigned.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit.
• Collaborate frequently with the physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met, and notify them as soon as possible when a patient's condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review all medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by the physician, such as Foley catheter changes.
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
