Licensed Practical Nurse- Med Surg
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role directs and guides patient teaching and the activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel, and assumes a lead role in patient teaching. The nurse collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes. The position may require working on other patient care units or shifts depending on staff distribution, patient volume, or patient acuity. This is a part-time position with hours from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., totaling 48 hours per pay period. The schedule includes every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Ability to work holidays and weekends as required.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
