About The Position

Join INTEGRIS Health as a full-time, day-shift Licensed Practical Nurse at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Licensed Practical Nurse Acute Care provides patient care in an acute care hospital using the nursing process, under the supervision of a registered nurse and according to physician orders. The role requires population-specific competencies and adherence to applicable National Patient Safety Goals. Requirements

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Oklahoma or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Other certifications and competencies as required based on the service line skill.

Responsibilities

Contribute to patient assessment and reassessment.
Contribute to the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate patient care interventions.
Monitor for signs and symptoms related to abnormal laboratory values and deviations from baseline assessments.
Report changes in patient status to the physician and initiate new physician orders as directed.
Promote wellness and provide patient and caregiver education.
Work with the care team to implement and ensure patient quality and safety initiatives.
Promote patient satisfaction and maintain patient confidentiality.
Float to other units if required.
Participate in on-call status if required.
