About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides licensed nursing services to residents in an assisted living community, following Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines and applicable federal and state regulations. The role includes medication administration, resident health monitoring, documentation, and communication with residents, families, physicians, and community staff. The position is part-time and works a night shift, with a listed pay rate of $36.00 plus a $2.00 night shift differential.

Requirements

• Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
• At least 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state where practicing.
• CPR certification.
• Sufficient English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs; government requirements or exclusions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in compliance with federal and state regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May admit new residents, including completing admission assessments and documentation.
• Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May track clinical matters such as wounds or infection control under the director’s direction.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in residents’ health and document appropriately.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with other departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• May handle discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
