About The Position
Provides quality nursing care to SVP adult residents within the scope of licensure and under RN supervision. Administers medications and treatments and evaluates patients’ responses in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment using the least restrictive measures necessary while upholding the rights and dignity of residents and their families. The position works the evening shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and may require overtime or other shifts as needed. The role may involve exposure to aggressive residents.
Requirements
- Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
- Clinical knowledge of practical nursing principles and practices, medication administration, psychiatric disorders, and developmental processes.
- Ability to implement planned nursing care and provide guidance to other staff.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime hours as required.
