Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing automated assembly equipment.
  • A solid, fundamental understanding of PLC-based machine logic.
  • Ability and willingness to work toward and complete your Millwright certificate.
  • Deep knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-based equipment and a basic understanding of PLC programming.
  • Natural ability to diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
  • Skilled at selecting and installing machine sensors and key hardware parts.
  • Highly proficient in using industrial machining tools and shop equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of machine guarding protocols and industrial safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Spot safety hazards and fix unsafe conditions before they cause trouble.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on assembly machines to keep everything in tip-top shape.
  • Suggest smart upgrades to our PM schedules to improve timing and efficiency.
  • Respond fast to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot the issue, and get production back online.
  • Jump headfirst into continuous improvement projects to optimize our operations.
  • Share your bright ideas for system and process improvements through our team channels.
  • Keep clear, accurate logs of repairs and mechanical issues using our tracking systems.
  • Support the team during equipment start-ups and product change-overs.
  • Help commission, test, and launch brand-new production machinery.
  • Take on other exciting projects and tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
