About The Position

Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to provide professional and considerate care to ill and injured people. The LPN works under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. Candidates should be qualified and compassionate, experienced in providing diverse basic care, and able to remain patient and calm. The role is per diem, with rates up to $43.82 per hour. All shifts are available.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical histories accurately.
• Take and record measurements such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts.
• Assist patients with necessary daily activities such as eating and bathing.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and enemas; clean and dress wounds; and assist with other basic medical care tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
