About The Position
Preferred Professional Services (PPS), an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, has per diem shifts available at its long-term care and rehabilitation facilities in Connecticut. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care to residents, administers medications and treatments, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and helps implement care plans. The role is offered for all shifts, with per diem and temp-to-hire opportunities noted.
Requirements
- Valid state LPN license.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of older adults and chronically ill people, and ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record residents’ vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Supervise and support Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
