About The Position
Preferred Professional Services (PPS), an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is hiring agency Licensed Practical Nurses for all shifts at its long-term care and rehabilitation facilities in Connecticut. Per diem shifts are available, with temp-to-hire opportunities. The LPN provides direct nursing care to residents, supports their well-being and comfort, administers medications and treatments, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and helps implement care plans. The role also includes supporting Certified Nurse Assistants and ensuring care complies with applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Valid state LPN license.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of aged and chronically ill people, and ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Supervise and support Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
