About The Position
TK Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Seminole County Jail in Wewoka, Oklahoma. This role offers a unique opportunity in correctional nursing, allowing you to develop a broad range of clinical skills while making a meaningful difference for an underserved patient population. Experienced LPNs and new graduates are encouraged to apply. This position provides day shifts, exposure to acute and chronic healthcare needs, and a collaborative healthcare team environment within a structured and secure setting. Correctional healthcare experience is not required.
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to successfully complete a thorough background investigation
- Dependable with strong communication and patient-care skills
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Nice To Haves
- Correctional healthcare experience is not required
- New graduates are welcome
- Experienced LPNs will have the opportunity to use their developed skills
Responsibilities
- Providing direct nursing care based on individual patient needs
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Responding to acute healthcare needs
- Assisting with management of chronic medical conditions
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs and other clinical information
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation
- Communicating changes in patient condition to the appropriate provider
- Collaborating with the facility's healthcare team
- Following established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
- Providing care within the scope of practical nursing under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse
