About The Position

Rocky Mountain Care – Evanston is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to a group of residents in a nursing unit at its Evanston, Wyoming facility. The role includes assessing resident needs, developing individual care plans, administering nursing care, and supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. Requirements

Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Wyoming.
Clinical assessment skills sufficient to meet the job requirements.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use.
Proven written and oral communication skills.
Proven decision-making and analytical skills.
Ability to relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with employees, residents, family members, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations.
Positive attitude and desire to work with the aging population.

Responsibilities

Assess resident needs.
Develop individual resident care plans.
Administer nursing care to residents.
