About The Position

Starr Regional Health and Rehab, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for long-term care. The role supports patient care under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), contributing to assessment, implementing plan-of-care interventions, assisting with daily activities, and advocating for patients’ physical and emotional well-being. The position offers 12-hour variable shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Current Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for RN analysis.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; medication administration may be included.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist the RN with developing the plan of care.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ status and reactions to interventions to the RN, physician, patients, and families.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
