About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. The role supports the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care and meets patients’ and families’ communication needs. The nurse works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position is in the Behavioral Health department on the Adult Male Floor at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The full-time day schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.

• Work experience in health care is preferred.
