About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Henry Ford Health’s Jackson hospital campus, you will provide nursing care under the guidance and delegated authority of registered nurses and providers. You will perform technical and routine nursing services, use sound nursing judgment, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans. The role supports a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses, including renal and oncology patients, on the 6 South East Medical/Surgical Unit. The team includes chemotherapy-certified staff and is described as close-knit, with low turnover, a family atmosphere, employee recognition, and flexible scheduling.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing school.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Successfully complete the HFHS pharmacology exam for LPNs.
Current BLS certification.
Meet or exceed customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors outlined in the HFHS Customer Service Policy.
Practice customer service skills through ongoing training and in-services.

Responsibilities
