About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its neurology clinic. The LPN participates in implementing and evaluating patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The role is based in a fast-paced, supportive, and collaborative environment focused on compassionate care and a positive work culture. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call work. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with a State Nursing Board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
If the position requires IV therapy or management skills in North Dakota, graduate from a Board-approved AASPN program that includes IV therapy in its curriculum or complete an IV therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients’ health, comfort, and safety.
Document a thorough medical history from each patient.
Contribute to patient assessments.
Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
Counsel patients and family members on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse.
Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge.
Use appropriate age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
