About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse works in the North Alabama Cardiology Clinic in Florence, Alabama, supporting specialized cardiac care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. The clinic’s care includes patient education, medication management, monitoring, assistance with procedures, and collaboration with the medical team. The LPN contributes to patient care by applying plan-of-care interventions and helping provide safe, compassionate care. The role also involves supporting patient wellbeing and helping create positive patient journeys.

Requirements

Current state RN or LPN license.
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the RN with development of the plan of care.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitor and document patient status and reactions to interventions, and communicate this information with the RN, physician, patients, and families.
Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
Obtain insurance re-authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures as requested.
Attend clinic meetings.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Report incidents, hazards, and drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action.
Complete safety instructional programs.
Assist other team members when time permits.
