About The Position
Meadowlake Estates is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its long-term and rehabilitative care facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The LPN participates in and directs the delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders, helping ensure high-quality services in a customer-service-friendly environment. The role is part of the clinical team providing care and support to residents.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous skilled nursing experience.
- Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet residents’ needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders.
- Implement and evaluate care plans.
- Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
- Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
- Participate in duty assignments.
- Organize and coordinate subordinate staff, job tasks, and time allotments.
- Oversee and monitor subordinate staff functions and activities.
- Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
- Monitor infection-control compliance.
- Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
