PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatrics Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed providers. You will be at the forefront of working closely with healthcare professionals and patients to optimize treatment outcomes. Requirements
- Active Florida LPN licensure
- Current BLS Certification
- Experience working in a pediatrics setting
- At least 6 months of clinical nursing experience
- Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years experience working in a pediatric setting
Responsibilities
- Providing general nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
- Administering prescribed medications, injections, and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform routine diagnostic tests and procedures, including vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, wound care, and sterile dressing changes
- Collecting, documenting, processing, and handling blood, urine, and other specimens per standing orders and provider direction
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
- Assisting physicians and nurse practitioners during the examinations, treatments, and testing
- Observing, documenting, and reporting patient conditions, responses to medications, and treatment outcomes
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Maintaining tracking and documentation for UDS, HEDIS, and care gap measures
- Participating in professional development and required training
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms
