About The Position

PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatrics Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatrics team. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed providers. Requirements

  • Active Florida LPN licensure
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Experience working in a pediatrics setting
  • At least 6 months of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience
  • At least 2 years experience working in a pediatrics setting

Responsibilities

  • Providing general nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
  • Administering prescribed medications, injections, and treatments safely and accurately
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests and procedures, including vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, wound care, and sterile dressing changes
  • Collecting, documenting, processing, and handling blood, urine, and other specimens per standing orders and provider direction
  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
  • Assisting physicians and nurse practitioners during the examinations, treatments, and testing
  • Observing, documenting, and reporting patient conditions, responses to medications, and treatment outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Maintaining tracking and documentation for UDS, HEDIS, and care gap measures
  • Participating in professional development and required training
  • Preparing and maintaining exam rooms
