About The Position

Carmel Health and Living is hiring a part-time weekend dayshift nurse for its Weekend Option. The role is open to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) and focuses on providing direct resident care during weekend shifts. Requirements

• Hold a current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Be able to work independently and as part of a healthcare team during weekend shifts.

• Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong communication and resident advocacy skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care during weekend shifts, including medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Assess and document resident conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate residents and their families about health maintenance, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and preferences and respect their rights and dignity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
