About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Walker State Prison provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations in a structured correctional healthcare setting. The role involves working within consistent routines and a collaborative, team-based environment. Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare to individuals in custody.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or emergency room (ER) settings.
- An active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license: Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL).
- Active certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to obtain security clearance through the Georgia Department of Corrections, which may include a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
