About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the day-shift team at Washington State Prison in Davisboro, Georgia. Centurion Health provides mental health and medical services for the Georgia Department of Corrections. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to address physical and behavioral health needs. The role offers a structured clinical environment with established policies and workflows, a dedicated security presence, clear patient accountability, and no family or visitor interactions. The schedule includes 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) and every-other-weekend coverage on 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.). Compensation is $29–$34 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or emergency-room (ER) settings.
Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license: Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL).
Active and appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
Ability to obtain security clearance through the Georgia Department of Corrections, which may include a drug screen and criminal background check.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice, under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
