About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care to an incarcerated population at Dooly State Prison in Unadilla, Georgia. The RN works within their scope of practice under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to patients’ medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs. The position is on the day shift, works 36 hours, and includes rotating weekends. Compensation is $41–$46 per hour. The role offers a structured clinical environment with clear policies and workflows, a dedicated security presence, clear patient accountability, and no family or visitor interactions. The RN collaborates with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary colleagues while following established safety, security, and infection-control procedures.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia, or an active MSL or Compact license.
- Current, active CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance, including a drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow established safety, security, and infection-control procedures.
- Assess and respond to patients’ medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs.
