Registered Nurse (RN) | Wilcox State Prison | $41-$46 an hour | Day shift
About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care to an incarcerated population at Wilcox State Prison in Abbeville, Georgia. The RN works within their scope of practice and under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to patients’ medical, mental health, and psychosocial needs. This is a day-shift position with a Monday–Friday, eight-hour schedule. The role is described as offering consistent hours and a structured clinical environment, with clear policies and workflows, dedicated security presence, patient accountability, and fewer family or visitor interactions than traditional hospital settings.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia, or an active multistate/compact license.
- Current, active CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain required security clearance, including a drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control procedures.
