About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Clinic provides compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care. The role contributes to patient assessment, performs care interventions, supports patients’ daily living needs, and promotes their comfort, safety, and physical and emotional well-being. The LPN works with registered nurses, physicians, patients, and families to monitor and communicate patient status and responses to care. The position is full-time and day shift.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessments by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist the RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
