About The Position

National Park Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its clinic. The LPN provides compassionate patient care as part of a collaborative team, assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and supporting patient comfort and safety. The role contributes to high-quality care and the well-being of the communities served.

The LPN collects patient data for analysis by an RN, performs care interventions, documents care, and helps the RN develop care plans. The position is full-time and day shift. Employees may work flexible shifts or units as needed.

Requirements

• Current state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.

• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist the RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
