PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team at Big Muddy River Correctional Center in Ina, Illinois. Centurion provides comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to physical and behavioral health needs. The schedule is PRN days, with some evenings and nights as needed. The stated rate is $32.61 per hour plus a $4 per hour PRN differential. Evening shifts receive a $4 per hour differential, night shifts a $3 per hour differential, and weekends an additional $1 per hour. Comprehensive benefits are offered to full-time team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Clear and active Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one.
- Active and appropriate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including completing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
