About The Position

This is a part-time role for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for behavioral health. The LPN will support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at a home-like Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home. The mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

Requirements

• Current valid, unrestricted license as a Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Experience in crisis prevention and intervention services preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols
• Conduct nursing assessments
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations
• Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service
