About The Position

At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is rooted in empowering individuals and strengthening communities. As a Licensed Practical Nurse you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at our warm, home-like Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home located in Woodbridge, VA. This is a part-time role.

Requirements

• Current valid, unrestricted license as a Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia
• A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments

Nice To Haves

• MH and I/DD systems of care preferred
• Crisis prevention and intervention services preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate medical and nursing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols
• Conduct nursing assessments
• Educate and empower individuals regarding their mental and physical health
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all nursing services and observations
• Uphold compliance with all regulatory and clinical care standards to ensure the highest quality of service
