About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs delegated patient care functions. Work is carried out in accordance with the institution’s established policies and procedures and within the nurse’s educational preparation, licensure requirements, and any additional advanced practice training under Alabama Board of Nursing 610-X-.05 Standardized Procedures for specific procedures. The LPN II is expected to assess and analyze situations and make decisions within the limits of their license.

Requirements

• Basic nursing education required for Practical Nurse licensure.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
