About The Position

Alliance Group is seeking a Licensed Plumber based in North Clarendon, VT to join our growing Install team. This is a field-based position responsible for installations, routine maintenance, and inspections associated with commercial plumbing systems, as well as assisting with regular service-related tasks for commercial HVAC systems. This includes boilers, chillers, hydronic piping, propane systems a plus but not required, and more. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and high-level customer service.

Requirements

  • Active plumbing license (journeyman or masters) required.
  • OSHA 10 required
  • Ability to read blueprints and document asbuilts required
  • Ability to read specifications and identify RFI’s required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and identify inefficiencies in work processes.
  • High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity.
  • Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills.
  • Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must maintain a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be able to climb up and down Scaffolding, Ladders, Stairs as job requires.
  • U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatory
  • Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.
  • A post-offer pre-employment screen (POPES) is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • 2+ years of commercial plumbing experience preferred
  • NH and/or VT Gas license preferred
  • Rigging certification preferred
  • Propane systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Utilize core plumbing skills such as using hand tools, plumbing tools, and power tools to perform plumbing installations and repairs (pro-press, threading, soldering, etc.)
  • Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure they are up to code, meet all building and safety standards, and job specifications are met
  • Lead a crew of manageable size and ensure daily reports, communication, ordering of materials and productivity is maintained to ensure project schedules are upkept
  • Assist with service-related tasks for commercial HVAC systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and fully explaining current issues, timelines, and resolutions to customers when appropriate.
  • Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
  • Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company work vehicle.
