About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring a Licensed Plumber to provide residential and other plumbing services, including repairs, installations, and plumbing system replacements. Plumbers respond to customer service calls, inspect and diagnose plumbing issues, recommend solutions, prepare estimates, and sell services. The role also includes sewer and drain cleaning in varied environments and restoring work sites after service. Plumbers prepare invoices, collect payment, and explain the company guarantee to customers. The position offers a $2,000 signing bonus paid in three installments: after training, after six months of service, and after one year of service. Requirements

Valid driver's license.
State plumbing license.
At least three years of repair and service plumbing experience.
Proven track record in selling plumbing products and services.
Full knowledge of plumbing systems.
Obtain Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training within the first year of employment.
Hold a journeyman license or equivalent certification as specified by the state where the branch operates and service is performed; unlicensed plumbers are expected to obtain certification as soon as they become eligible, if required by state law.
Good written and oral communication skills for effective customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to customer service calls, inspect plumbing issues, diagnose problems, offer solutions and estimates, and close service sales.
Install and repair plumbing fixtures and equipment, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and water softeners.
Conduct sewer and drain cleaning in environments such as basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters.
Clean and restore work sites to their pre-job condition.
Prepare invoices that total the costs of services and products provided.
Collect payment and explain the Roto-Rooter guarantee in writing and on the provided smartphone.
