About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring a Licensed Plumber to provide plumbing, drain cleaning, and related services to customers. The role includes inspecting and diagnosing plumbing issues, recommending solutions and estimates, installing and repairing plumbing fixtures, and performing sewer and drain cleaning. Plumbers also restore work sites, prepare invoices, collect payment, and explain the company’s guarantee to customers. Roto-Rooter is a plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider founded in 1935. Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
State plumbing license.
At least three years of repair and service plumbing experience.
Proven track record in selling plumbing products and services.
Full knowledge of plumbing systems.
Obtain Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training, an OSHA requirement, within the first year of employment.
Journeyman license or equivalent certification as specified by the state where the branch operates and services are performed.
Unlicensed plumbers must obtain certification as soon as they are eligible if required by state law.
Good written and oral communication skills for effective customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to customer service calls.
Inspect plumbing issues, diagnose problems, offer solutions and estimates, and close service sales.
Install and repair plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and water softeners, with the necessary licensing.
Conduct sewer and drain cleaning in varied environments, including basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters.
Clean and restore work sites to their pre-job condition.
Prepare invoices for services and products provided.
Collect payment and explain the Roto-Rooter guarantee in writing and on the provided smartphone.
