About The Position

Carabetta Property Management is actively seeking a skilled and reliable Connecticut licensed Plumber to join our Maintenance team to support in our well-maintained, residential and commercial properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, with strong troubleshooting skills, who can take ownership and efficiently solve problems independently.

Requirements

  • Current and active P1 or P2 license (minimum) issued by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection is REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential/commercial plumbing experience.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety procedures, and proper tool usage.
  • Familiarity with soldering, pipe threading, PVC/PEX installation, and fixture replacement.
  • Basic computer proficiency for work orders and documentation.
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple service calls.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school training or an electrical certification preferred.
  • Property management or facilities experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, water, and drainage system pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Perform demolition and removal of old fixtures and piping.
  • Handle materials, distribute supplies, complete basic layouts, and drill/cut holes in wood and concrete (including core-boring).
  • Review blueprints and adhere to applicable building codes to determine proper work procedures.
  • Rough-in and install various types of plumbing material.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site during and after construction, installation, or repair work.
  • Collaborate with property managers and maintenance staff to complete work orders efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and associated costs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
