About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide coverage for census spikes, vacations, and similar needs at a highly rated 213-bed community in Covington, Louisiana. The community offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. The role involves assisting with therapist-designed treatment plans, providing direct patient care, monitoring and documenting progress, educating patients and families, and coordinating care with Physical Therapists and other team members. Requirements

Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility to obtain a license.
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Document treatments, progress, and patient responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Work with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and support effective outcomes.
