Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
State licensure.
Optical dispensing experience.
Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
Knowledge of current store merchandise.
Strong basic math skills.
Awareness of current fashion trends.
Selling skills and ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators.
Willingness to embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and set expectations for their experience.
Custom-fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
Serve as a leader in optical knowledge and assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
Use technology accurately under time pressure and during high customer volume, apply product knowledge, and use appropriate tools.
Identify root causes of issues, anticipate customer needs, resolve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Multi-task, prioritize, and manage competing priorities.
Work toward exceptional results on brand key performance indicators and competencies.
Help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store.
Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
Pursue continual learning and improvement, and remain focused on results.
Follow company policies and procedures, including those covering discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
