About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Optician to join its in-house optical team and help customers with their eyewear needs. The Optician will become an expert in the brand and its glasses, provide outstanding customer service, and help customers feel confident about their eyewear choices. Requirements

Be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license, or an ABO-certified optician in states that do not require licensing.
Be passionate about the eyewear and retail industries.
Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, including explaining technical terms to customers.
Be dedicated to exceeding expectations for customers and teammates.
Be an energetic, positive team player who can adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment.

Responsibilities

Work directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs.
Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and perform these tasks accurately.
Check finished eyewear against optical standards and customer requirements and requests.
Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
Work with the team to ensure all customers receive exceptional service.
Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer-service best practices that can be implemented throughout the organization.
Represent the brand and educate others about its values and mission.
