About The Position

Stanton Optical is seeking a Licensed Optician to help create a superior customer experience by educating patients and facilitating the eyewear dispensing process. The role matches patients’ needs with available products and services, resolves issues, and assists with sales while providing an easy and memorable eye care experience. The Licensed Optician measures, fits, and adjusts lenses and frames according to prescriptions, makes minor eyewear repairs, and helps maintain store standards. Work hours are determined by business needs, and schedule flexibility is required.

Requirements

• Experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients as a Licensed Optician.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing business needs in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Valid ABO and NCLE credentials and/or a license in the applicable state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for outstanding customer and patient care.
• Schedule flexibility; work hours are determined by business needs.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers and identify their needs to provide an easy, memorable experience.
• Recommend available products and services.
• Meet sales goals established by management while following company and local policies and procedures.
• Help patients and customers select products and services that fit their budget and eye care needs.
• Troubleshoot prescription-related problems, address complaints, diffuse dissatisfaction, and provide solutions.
• Measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames according to written prescriptions or specifications; determine lens specifications and make minor eyewear repairs or adjustments.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties as needed to maintain brand standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.
