Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills and ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators.
• Willingness to embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations.
• Custom-fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical knowledge and expertise.
• Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear accurately; and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately under time pressure and at high customer volumes, applying product knowledge and appropriate tools.
• Identify root causes of issues, think ahead, and resolve concerns to satisfy customers and exceed expectations.
• Multitask, prioritize, and manage time across competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve brand key performance indicators and competencies.
• Help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Pursue continual learning and improvement while working resourcefully and toward results.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those concerning discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
