About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to provide eyewear expertise and friendly, knowledgeable service to customers. The role combines hands-on optical work with store leadership and keyholder duties, including opening and closing the store and maintaining internal operations. The supervisor helps create an upbeat, productive environment for opticians and retail advisors and supports the store’s service and sales goals.

Requirements

• Be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require licensure, or an ABO-certified optician in states without licensing requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
• Have strong communication skills and be able to explain technical terms clearly to customers.
• Be passionate about eyewear and retail.
• Be customer- and team-focused, positive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Be open to learning and able to remain composed under pressure.
• Not be on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Help customers meet their eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Check finished eyewear against optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Ensure operational, service, and staff-zoning procedures are carried out to company standards.
• Support the store vision and sales through exceptional floor service and by answering customer and operational questions.
• Work with store management to lead and mentor the Optical team, including Optician Apprentice Program participants.
• Help maintain store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.
• Promote a productive, positive employee culture.
• Help open and close the store as a keyholder.
