About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller processes transactions accurately while delivering a welcoming, reliable experience, and serves as a primary point of contact for customers. The role builds foundational banking skills by learning about customers’ needs and introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools, while connecting customers to bankers for more detailed product conversations. The Teller works with branch teammates to support daily operations and provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo provides training, coaching, and a team-based culture to support development and career mobility. The position is based at 3300 Pump Rd., Richmond, Virginia 23233. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The listed base pay range is $20.00–$25.00; pay may vary based on factors including performance, skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships, actively listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in line with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, use active listening to clarify needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
