About The Position
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides virtual therapy to adults and families in California. Clients may seek support for stress, relationship concerns, major changes at home or work, or other issues affecting their day-to-day feelings and functioning. Most working time is spent in therapy sessions, with additional time for clinical notes, case review, training, and professional development. The role involves individual and family therapy by video and requires maintaining confidentiality, professional boundaries, and compliance with California licensing and ethical requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
- Two or more years of therapy experience.
- Skill in connecting with clients remotely.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy by video.
- Learn about each client’s concerns, background, and reasons for starting therapy.
- Use clinical training and experience to guide sessions in a way that fits each case.
- Keep clinical notes clear, complete, and up to date.
- Revisit the direction of therapy when new concerns arise.
- Participate in training, case discussions, and professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Follow California licensing and ethical requirements for the applicable profession.
