About The Position

MTC Care is hiring a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide behavioral health services to adults and/or seniors residing in long-term care facilities. The role is described as a patient-first clinical position with an established caseload, a dedicated support staff, and no administrative burden. The counselor will provide individual and group psychotherapy, conduct screenings, develop treatment plans, educate facility staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain compliant documentation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the ability to practice and bill independently.
• Active license to practice in the state(s) where MTC Care operates.
• Significant experience treating adults and/or seniors, particularly patients exhibiting severe persistent mental illness.
• Strong communication skills and cultural humility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a seasoned social work consultant in long-term care facilities.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
• Complete mood- and symptom-based screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for adults and/or seniors.
• Provide in-service education.
• Collaborate with facility staff and consult with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
