Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
About The Position
The Licensed Mental Health Counselor provides counseling to clients in Iowa through scheduled video sessions. The counselor works with clients experiencing a variety of personal and mental health concerns, conducts initial visits, gathers relevant background information, and provides short-term or ongoing counseling depending on each case. The role also involves documenting appointments, consulting with another clinician on difficult or higher-risk cases, responding to urgent concerns according to established procedures, coordinating with outside providers when needed, and protecting client confidentiality. The position is remote and full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Active LMHC license.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Comfort providing care in a remote or telehealth setting.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a professional home office environment.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of post-licensure counseling experience is preferred.
