About The Position

We are hiring an Iowa-licensed Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to provide counseling to clients through remote telehealth. The counselor will work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship problems, and other concerns affecting their everyday lives. The role includes regular counseling sessions, intake work, documentation, and client follow-up when needed. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an annual salary of $115,000–$120,000.

Requirements

• Active LMHC license in Iowa.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of clinical counseling experience.
• Strong experience with telehealth or willingness to work fully remote.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy approaches.
• Comfortable using EHR systems and virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling through telehealth.
• Complete intake sessions and review client history.
• Discuss with clients the concerns bringing them to therapy.
• Help clients work through emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Keep session notes and client records up to date.
• Follow up on concerns that need additional attention.
• Respond appropriately to safety or crisis concerns.
• Make referrals when other services are needed.
• Follow Iowa LMHC licensing and professional requirements.
