Licensed Master Cosmetologist / Stylist
About The Position
Hair Cuttery is seeking experienced licensed master stylists, cosmetologists, or hairdressers with advanced technical skills and a loyal clientele. The role is designed for professionals who can work confidently with minimal guidance, while stylists who are still developing are encouraged to apply for the separate Stylist role. Hair Cuttery supplies the products and back-bar materials needed at no charge and supports client growth through social, local, and in-salon promotions. Compensation is performance-based and may include service and retail commissions and tips; top stylists earn $45 per hour to $88 or more per hour, with $100,000 or more described as within reach. Tips are paid at the end of each day. The position offers full-time or part-time hours and opportunities for leadership or education roles.
Requirements
- Hold a valid cosmetology or barber license appropriate to the state.
- Be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
- Have strong technical skills in precision cuts, fades, color services, and personalized consultations.
- Have experience with advanced techniques such as highlights, balayage, texture services, and finishing.
- Demonstrate professionalism, confidence, and the ability to work with minimal guidance.
Nice To Haves
- A loyal book of business generating $1,300 or more per week; this is preferred and qualifies the stylist for higher commissions.
