About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security personnel in Punta Gorda, Florida. This role supports safe and enjoyable events by checking bags, controlling venue access, and following venue policies and procedures while providing superior customer service. Work takes place in event venues such as stadiums, concerts, festivals, and convention centers. Flexible scheduling is available, with part-time hours under 30 hours per week. No prior experience is required, but candidates must hold a current Florida State Security D License.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a current Florida State Security D License.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required for roles involving driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
• Must be able to use sound independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
• Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic entering and leaving the venue.
• Screen guests at entry by searching bags, using hand wands or metal detectors, and verifying identification.
• Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches and protect guests, staff, and venue ownership assets.
• Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
• Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
• Provide guests with a positive experience at venue entrances, aisles, concourses, and other assigned locations.
• Offer guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their event experience.
