About The Position

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Security staff to work at conventions, concerts, trade shows, and sporting events. The role helps keep guests and venue owners safe while providing superior customer service. Event Security staff check bags, enforce access control, and implement venue policies and procedures. This is part-time gig work with flexible scheduling and supplemental-income potential, with schedules under 30 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $18–$20 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A Nevada PILB Security License is required.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event-day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into venues by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing traffic entering and leaving the venue.
• Screen guests at entry by searching bags, using hand wands or metal detectors, and verifying identification.
• Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
• Respond to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
• Provide guests with a positive experience at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, or other assigned locations.
• Offer guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
