About The Position

This is an Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Supervisor position. The role requires a Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, along with a licensure as an LMSW, LLP, or LPC from the State of Michigan. The candidate must have at least one year of experience in examining, evaluating, and treating children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses, utilizing relevant treatment modalities. Experience working with Waivers is also required. The position involves providing services to consumers of psychiatric and specialized services and requires the ability to handle crisis situations. Candidates requiring sponsorship or on student/work visas are not accepted.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in social work, psychology or counseling.
  • LMSW, LLP or LPC licensure from the State of Michigan.
  • At least one (1) year experience in examining, evaluating and treating children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses and utilizing relevant treatment modalities.
  • Experience in working with Waivers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be organized, creative, and flexible.
  • Ability to provide non-judgmental, culturally competent, unconditional care.
  • Highly organized and demonstrate competence in providing services to consumers of psychiatric and specialized services.
  • Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record.
  • Ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
  • Must not be on student/work visas, and/or require sponsorship to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with electronic medical record.
  • Meet the requirements for Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) within 120 days of hire.
