About The Position

This is a full-time, 36 hours per week, salary/exempt position for a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician & Recovery Services Program Manager. The role involves helping to shape and expand innovative Tribal recovery services, playing a key leadership role in strengthening pathways to recovery, supporting individuals and families, and advancing the mission of CVTC. The position is within the Judicial, Family, and Recovery Services Division and is guided by the values of care and love for each other, education, honesty, humor, and respect. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, visionary, and experienced licensed behavioral health professional passionate about advancing recovery, wellness, and healing within Tribal communities. This individual will be a collaborative leader with expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, clinical supervision, program development, and integrated care coordination. They will be comfortable building and enhancing programs, guiding staff, developing clinical protocols, and fostering strong partnerships. The successful candidate will embrace culturally grounded and trauma-informed approaches to care, demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals and families on their recovery journeys, and possess the leadership skills needed to help shape and expand Chickaloon Native Village’s Recovery Services program. The role requires dedication to excellence, collaboration, and alignment with the mission.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or a related clinical field.
  • Hold one of the following active Alaska clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD).
  • A valid Alaska Driver’s License is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 to 7 years of behavioral health clinical experience preferred.
